Discover What's Possible
Ditch Da Diabetes is a grassroots, doctor-led program helping Hawaiʻi families understand type 2 diabetes and discover how powerful food and lifestyle can be in changing their health. Over six weeks, we learn together, cook together, eat together, and turn the science of diabetes remission into changes people can actually make at home.
The program is led by Dr. Kevin Rogers, resident physicians from Hawaiʻi Island Family Medicine Residency, and Momi—a former participant who, after 11 years with diabetes, was able to come off insulin and all diabetes medications under medical care.
What began with meals paid for out of Dr. Kevin's own pocket has grown through the generosity of Momi, fellow residents, participants, and our community. Every dollar donated goes right back into helping Hawaiʻi eat better, live healthier, and Ditch Da Diabetes for good.
